The heavy rain in the morning and early afternoon forced us to delay our ride to 4pm. I am still sore over the fact that I should be in Pengerang having my sumptous 'zhi cha' and cursing my way on the Desaru road, but yet I am in S'pore and doing the flat road ride.

The road is S'pore also led to cursing as drivers refuse to give way to a lil cyclist me. The cyclist-pedestrain-motorist saga here will never end. And yes, I totally hate cycling on the roads here. Turned out there were massive jams on Geylang and all the way on Bukit Timah Rd. I have to swept in and out of the road/pavement to snake thru' the jam. End up I still need 45mins to reach KAP Mac.

So before we headed into T15, Valerie was telling us the horror stories of faces being ripped off when the rider plunged into their falls on trails. The 3 of us, Kenneth, Pek Gnee and I listened with goose bumps!

Thank god no incident in the trail but my stamina is getting back to worst. I felt like dying after completing the trail. But when I saw a dying monitor lizard beside my bike, I sprung into life again!

By then, it was dinner time and the group decided to pay Botak Jones a visit. Mandai Rd was killing for me as my 2.1 Fire XC refused to roll. Lucky we had the traffic light to pit stop along Yio Chu Kang *am dying if they don't wait for me*. At Upper Thomson, one loud pop and the subsequent pissing sound led me to an immediate flat. The gals were so happy to see me having a puncture because they can see how I change a flat tyre. Wah lao.

Off to Botak Jones. Guess what, the group ordered pizza for apetitizer! Not to mentioned their full size main dish and with Michelle ordering the "R U Crazy" triple patties burger. These guys really can eat. They washed it all down with apple pie for deserts. I kowtow!

Too full to ride, we sat there almost to 10pm persuading Kenneth to join us in the E-W Highway ride. Led to many comical conversations on how we thought of ways to get him a 2 days MC.

Followed Valerie back to Hougang. She was good enough to lead me to the Hougang Mosque. I still took the wrong turn. Went into the Defu Industrial Estate instead of going Tiong Hin. That road was a gradient climb. Anyway, my legs worked better compared to the day. At least the tyres could roll! :)

Went home exactly on 12 midnite. I really don't wanna do nite cycling anymore. Stoned till abt 2am before I could see. Sunday was totally a knock out day for me! :(

I have kept this photo of the E-W Highway since 2002 in my email. That was the time Boey went with LCT and gang. The photo intrigued me alot and I thot abt it back then that one day I will do this as well. The day finally came. What a wish came true. I hope I'll survive the ride. It's not easy at all.
