T15 Trail / Killer Loop 08th Feb
Being hauled my ass to train under the humid weather of the so-called spring time. Legs feeling all acidic with “ant-bites” like lactic acid oozing into my every pore. It is always very difficult to start from level 0, after a long long break. All the way from Tampines to KAP at Bukit Timah. Though I seriously lagged behind from LCT on the eastern part, I managed to catch up doing a 25-27km/hr speed. That is, until boredom hit me along the long stretch of BT Rd. I was just talking silly with myself and trying to sing a song about a long winding road. (X.X)”
Valerie and Pek Gnee were already there. LCT later told us to meet Koh at BT. So he got us into BT trails from Rifle Range. Sicko, fancy my tyre pressure pumped until max and to do this confidence-shaking part. Heehee, I decided to walk down the slope to be safe. Koh and LCT wanted us to do the half part of BT to T15, all the girls chicken out and I led them by road to Meeting Point 4. After a very long wait with Val entertaining us with her instructor’s jokes, both guys emerged. Koh came out with scratches. Wah lao, I’m never going into BT again…
T15 was a fast speed downhilling ride. The high pressure tyres made it hard to handle and bumpy to control, but it made the ride thrilling and fast. T15 was by far the easiest among all the trails in Singapore, help boost some confidence.
When we completed the trail, the sun was going down. Headed out to Upper Thomson for dinner, which means have to ride the rolling hills of Mandai. Had 5-stars chicken rice, everyone seems like not eating a lot! Next, the rolling hills of Yio Chu Kang down to Hougang. By Old Tamp Rd, I “pun chek” (losing air) and was crawling my way at only 5km/hr. Even the bus started horning me from behind. Shagged lah, it was already going 10pm and this killer route really had me killed.
Lung busted, I knocked out soon after I got home. Surprised that the next day I din have any muscle ache. Phew.

Ketam Trail 10th Feb
Out to Ubin. Butt hurts while on the saddle. It later numb up during the trail ride. Major disappointment cos’ I did not have the strong leg power like before to clear most of the climbs. *Sad* It was still ok until my favorite section of the trail. Going faster than before, thot I knew the trail very well, suddenly miss-que and skid. Before I knew it, skid-wham-oof! I was on the ground curling up in pain. IT HURTS IT HURTS. I was the ground for quite sometime before the rest caught up and see me wheezing in pain. Damn! I picked the line to avoid that rock, who knows it caused the front wheel to slide and worst part, my thigh hit exactly on the protruding rock. Ouch, now I got a palm-size bruise on my left thigh. Swollen siah!
Despite the pain, I still insisted on going for a round at Tampines Bike Trail. Val and I were quite tired. By then, my legs were already wobbly and Val was lagging behind.
Alright, time out for the week before we go again. The bruise is really killing me.
fate must have been crumbled before and after here
