- Osim Tri (Mini)
We did the mini relay and completed it successfully. Our company sent 2 individuals for the mini and 2 teams for the mini relays, one for the full olympic distance. As usual, I will opt for the bike leg. Joe pulled Jing and me to join the event on the last day of registration, so our team was called Team Last Minute. As the name states, none of us bothered to practice and train for the event. :p

Joe completed the swim leg and came running towards me with a bruised eye! I thot 'what the heck happened' but I leave the "?" till I complete my leg. Barely into 2km, I got into a severe stomach cramp. Darn female woes, always hit me when I least expect it! =.=" My speed slowed down to 25km/hr for the next 5km. Towards the last 2km, the pain miraculously disappeared and I picked up my speed to 30-32km/hr. Run limpingly back to Jing and passed the chip to her. Damn pain was back again.
While waiting for the runners, we learnt that Joe was kicked on the eye by the the front swimmer. Woah! His eye went bloodshot red and swollen. While I think the bike leg is kamikaze, I think the swimming part is more dangerous! :p
The bike leg was kindda lame. While I was busy dodging the other cylists who hogged the lanes, the marshals there were telling me to slow down. Apa lah? Most of the relay teams used knobbies tyres, could see they really struggled. I struggled abit on my 1.95 semi slicks. Dominic just breezed pass with his slick tyres. Wah lah, maybe I should consider changing to my 1.6 slicks next time. At least less effort spent.

- Tampines Bike Trail
With the Cameron Highland/Jim Thompson trail looming ahead, all of us have to kick our butts and start training. Back to basic offroad at Tampines. We suck bad time. Eversince the Kajang PCC Ride, we din really have any serious mtbing. We took 1 hour to complete the whole trail distance. What the heck...
I could no longer handle my bike well. The arms and hands just ain't have the power to manouevr. Went to the grass patch on one down. Lucky nothing happened. I decided to rely on my bike instead. Good ol' Snake was performing! It glided pass all the rocky surface and roots and contorted well to every turns. I like this Kona frame, easier to control than Giant.
We did 2 rounds under the hot afternoon sun from 12pm to 3pm and ended at 5pm. Purposely walked into the Hokkaido food fest in our stinky and muddy bikewear. Hahaha. The people around us gave us a 'stinking' look. :p
Time for more long distance and trail training.
fate must have been crumbled before and after here
