- Rockclimbing 25th Jul
This is my second time doing the climb. I considered it my official second time. The last time was way back in the years which I climbed once with Hadi and Laiwan at Ubin. For the first time that time, I managed to climb up to the top and have liked this sport but no kakis back then. Now that Mich and Pek Gnee are into climbing, I too jump at this opportunity. I climbed up to the top for 3 different walls. What a feat! I can never do that when I was younger!
I do marvel at how this sport has developed since its beginning. Back during the 90s when it first started out, we just climbed with our normal school shoes. I was lucky to be in the secondary school that are those first few pioneer batch who has a rock wall in the school premises. I tried many times but I could not climb more than 1 feet (yes, I’m pathetic back then). Now, this sport has developed to be such a safe sport, a specific climbing shoes that helps a lot. Even now, belaying needs to be certified. Last time donno also anyhow belay. Haha. Am considering getting the level 1 belaying cert. :)

- BT Hike 26th Jul
Mich was able to haul Eugene to join us in this late morning hike. Both he and Val were late and thus the hike was delayed to 11am. Of course I was so happy. I was so tired out from the rockclimb the day before and had waken up with sore back and arm muscles. The instigator LCT kept on persuading me not to go for the hike because he doesn’t like hiking. -.-“ We still managed to go.
First few parts was alright as I have done it before. But the hamburger hill was my first, and climbing up the steep high steps and such, I know I have busted my thighs! When we completed the hike, believe me, I can literally squeeze out sweat from the tee! To make things worst, I forgot to do the basic after exercise stretches. Well done.

- BT Trail Ride 27th Jul
I was suffering the brute of all aches. The back and arm muscles were very sore. The thighs started acting up as I was climbing up the Toh Tuck slope. When I reached BT, I was half dead. Pek Gnee’s bike had some issues and so we went to Roadalink (an excuse for me to take a breather). :p
I still have to face the trail sooner or later. When we reached BT, Sok Hui and my heart beat raced to max. After so many falls inside, I have developed the phobia. This time round I need to face my greatest fear. The first few slopes were still in rocky state. Din dare to climb up nor hit down. But as we went deeper, the trails started getting better. The surface was flatten and less erosion. So I was enjoying the ride, but with a busted lung. Thank God I didn’t fall, but I didn’t achieve much as well as I was pushing most of the time. The second half of the trail was so much easier than before. My bruised confidence finally revived.
Road training after the trail. Up and down along Clementi to Mt Faber. I sorta gave up along Pasir Panjang because my thighs were aching real back. The girls won’t even let me go. In the end, I puff and cuss all the way up to the peak of Faber. Mich, Pek Gnee and LCT did a second lap while I glued my ass on the ground talking to Val and Wenqing.
Wenqing and her companion Liang Meng left for Sentosa, Val had to go home. Mich wanted to eat the famous duck rice but seems like no luck as the shop was closed. We ended up at Fong Seng for prata. The gluttony of me ate 1 cheese mushroom prata and a special potatoe cheese prata, downing 3 cans of 100Plus. I finally revived although the legs still hurt a damn lot. No wonder I was close to dying when riding to Faber, not enough food! :p
Next week is another torture week. We have to keep going at this rate for 4 weeks till Cameron. OMG!
fate must have been crumbled before and after here
